You aren't to blame here, everyone has different mindsets, either made for them at a young age or developed over time by the people you surround yourself with today. Your mindset might be positive or negative or even judgemental of others. Even the pandemic's impact can have a change in your mind and how you view things.
When faced with a new challenge do you find an excuse straight away? Are you scared of the commitment? Or could it be the idea of change and how you no longer feel in control? We all love a routine, we know what it looks like and it feels safe. But I bet you feel like you're living the same day over again, right? Like you can't trust other people to have your back, you won't allow yourself to relax and step away from control and let others have the wheel.
Being in control all the time is like you're watching a movie and the subtitles are already up before the next scene, so you already know whats going to happen... Who wants to live like that! Not me.
I get it, because my mindset used to be about lack, I believed I unloved I was by others and that lead me to find it hard to love myself. I was always controlling everything so I was safe and organised. My mindset told me that I didn't deserve good things to come to me, I was unable to see and receive the worlds beauty.
The good news is, you have the power to change your mindset whenever you like, honestly! The only thing in your way is you. Listen to that voice you can hear, we all have it. What is it saying to you? Do you believe it when it speaks to you? All your thoughts aren't always true and to shift that mindset you need to start writing down the kind of person you want to be, who do you want show up as at work? Are you showing up with kindness, loving words and ease with your energy? Or are you judgemental and talking about your co worker behind their back in the staff room?
What kind of person do you want to be in your relationship? Are you always blaming your partner, or would you want to work together and figure out solutions?
What I'm really saying here is, who do you want to be? What positive mindsets do you want to adopt? All of this will benefit your overall life style and how you see the world. Start following people who have those mindsets, listen to podcasts who speak from those strong values you want to have.
It's like putting on a brand new pair of sunny, stunning sun glasses, your view from the glasses are perfect, always can find the good in things. It's time to put those old scratched, unloved pair away and start viewing your life in the sunshine.
