We all have it, it's there to guide us when things are unsafe to alert us of danger, like life threatening situations. But it can also flag up in situations which aren't of risk to our health, like eating alone or going out to a new place you've never before, so what are we likely do when new opportunities arise? Avoid any of it of course, much easier way of living right? Well sure if you want to live a life where you don't do anything new or exciting, the world is a big playground, do you really want to be the person who doesn't go on any of the rides at the park? We know that as children, the importance of fun but somehow we forget about it along the way (If you haven't watched 'Yes man.' I highly recommend!) I'm grateful for my fear to exist because I'll definitely need it when I'm being attacked by a lion, after I accidentally fall into a cage at the zoo. But until then it's only getting in my way of exciting, life changing experiences. So recognise when it shows up, ask yourself "What benefits can I gain from doing this new thing?" "Am I, or will I been in danger if I do this?" I promise you, when you start to take small steps away from fear you'll start to get excited about what comes next.
